Daguerreotypist Augustus Washington and John Brown’s body



I found an extremely interesting article 
today about Augustus Washington, his photography shop in Connecticut and the infamous daguerreotype of John Brown.

    Thank you, Alice, for your support and especially your friendship since 1976. That is when I first met your grandmother Beatrice Keesey and realized that I had connected with someone whose own grandmother was John Brown's daughter Annie.
